We had a good time in Chicago. We did have some interesting weather while we were there. It rained for part of the day on Saturday and stormed and rained really hard on Sunday.
Sunday is when we had tickets to the Cubs game. The game was supposed to start at 1:20 but because of a rain delay, didn't start until 3:50pm. We ended up only staying for a few innings so we could do the other things we had planned that evening. But other than that, the trip was a success!
Here's some pictures to sum it up::
{Millenium Park}
{View from John Hancock Building}
An old college roommate used to live in Chicago and she recommended we go up to the Signature Lounge of the Hancock building instead of doing the tourist thing and paying the $12. So we got some drinks and enjoyed the view from there. She also mentioned that the view from the women's restroom was amazing, and it's true! This picture was actually taken from there.
{Outside Wrigley after it FINALLY stopped raining}
{Navy Pier}
{Walking along Lakeshore Dr.}
On another note, I signed up for the Handmade Gift Exchange with Craftaholics Anonymous yesterday.
You basically sign up and are assigned someone to make something for and they in turn make something for you. This is my first time participating, but I am super excited to meet a fellow crafter and make them something special :) You can sign up now through June 6th. The gift you make and send has to be postmarked by June 30th. Who is in with me??
Hope everyone is having a lovely Wednesday!
With Love,
