  1. Oh, I have a question! My brother and his new wife have a vaulted ceiling with a plant shelf in their bedroom. What could they put on the plant shelf that's both masculine and feminine? I believe they have electricity at the ceiling since the smoke detector is nearby. There's a photo on my FB page: https://www.facebook.com/howtonestforless. Hope that helps :) Thanks!!!

  2. I always struggle with mixing fabrics that compliment each other- pillows, curtains, etc. I often fall into the matchy-matchy rut even though I prefer the look of a variety of patterns & fabrics. Any advice on pairing fabrics that are different, but work well together? Thanks!

  3. I have a big deck in my backyard, but it's seriously sparse. There's no shade or covering so it's basically just a big sunny square. It's a rental property, so I don't want to invest TOO much -- how can I spruce it up on a budget?

  4. When you're getting ready to start decorating a new room, what's the best way to figure out placement of furniture, pictures, and artwork? I'm getting ready to start decorating my sons nursery (he's 19 months btw - sad I know) and honestly I'm clueless. It's killing me because the ceilings are vaulted (somewhat) and I feel like I can't center anything. The room has a weird layout! :)
