Old 2 New:: Sofa Table Renovation

For today's Old 2 New transformation, I have another Annie Sloan Chalk Paint project from My Front Porch To Yours.

This time it's for a sofa table that had been stored in Pamela's garage.

Overall, it looks pretty good, but was a bit scuffed up and could use a little TLC.

She used ASCP in duck egg blue underneath.

And one coat of Old White on top.

She sanded down the entire piece and added a few layers of wax.

And here's the final product.

Doesn't it look like something right out of Pottery Barn or Ballard Designs?

Be sure to hop on over to Pamela's to see a full step by step tutorial. I recently bought a sofa table from Goodwill. It's been sitting in my parents' garage (sorry mom and dad). Maybe I'll copy Pamela and do something similar to her sofa table. Might be a little ambitious, but we'll see!

One a side note, I know I've talked a lot about Annie Sloan's chalk paint. If you don't want to shell out the money for it, I came across a homemade recipe from Larissa Hill Designs. She also didn't want to shell out the money so she experimented and made her own chalk paint. Looks like it turned out pretty good. Let me know if anyone else has tried making their own!

Hope everybody has a fabulous weekend!
