Wednesday Inspiration:: Grain Sack

I finally decided on bedding for my new room and it came in last week.

I posted a sneak peak of it on Twitter.

Now I'm on the hunt for some decorative pillows to add to it. In the past I think I've gone a little overboard with the pillows, so this time I want to keep it simple and just add one or two.

My new bedding is really romantic & feminine so I want to add a bit of vintage/rustic texture with the additional pillows.

I'm really loving the look of grain sack and am on the hunt to find one or two grain sack pillows to help finish off my bed.

So, today's inspiration is all about grain sack.

I love the look of having just one long bolster like the below in front of the shams.

Or just layering a few.

Grain sack is very versatile. There are many ways to use it besides just for pillows.

You can use it to cover a chair.

As a stair runner.

As a table runner.

And how cute is this grain sack bag?

The only problem with grain sack, specifically grain sack pillows, is the price. They tend to be a bit pricey. :/

So, if you know of any Etsy shops or other online stores that sell affordable grain sack pillows pass 'em along!

I'm planning to go to the flea market here in town in a few weeks and will be on the hunt for grain sack. Might end up making my own pillow{s} to save a little money.

Have you ever bought or used grain sack before??
