Wednesday Inspiration:: Flowers

With moving into a new house, I automatically inherited a yard. Now, the beauty of renting a house is that somebody else takes care of the yard work for you (that's at least how our setup is). Pretty nice deal! So, I get to enjoy the benefits of a yard without all the hard work.

This weekend when I was working on a project outside on our patio, I was noticing some of the gorgeous flowers in our backyard. Knowing that these won't stay around for too much longer, I decided to snap a few pictures while I could.

I know nothing about flowers or plants and it's a good thing I'm not in charge of keeping them alive, because my track record isn't good. Let's just say I have a black thumb (the opposite of green).

Aren't they all so pretty?

I'm sure you all already know what some of these flowers are just by looking at them, but I did a little research for my personal benefit to try and figure out what they each were. If I researched correctly, here's a list of them in the order they appear::

1. Tulip // 2. Pink Dogwood // 3. Iris 4. Queen Anne's Lace // 5. Iris

All you plant people, did I get all those right?

  1. I'm there with ya on the black thumb thing, but that doesn't keep me from trying! Beautiful pictures, Megan.
