Old 2 New:: Door Turned Bench Storage

I love old doors. I love a good use for old doors. Today I have a fabulous transformation involving old doors and a good use :)

The Richard Family from Our House of Joyful Noise needed a solution for storing their shoes.

Instead of buying something, they decided to make their own storage solution from these beauties.

The doors were sawed into half long ways as well as a few other sized pieces to create this amazing bench. They also added some embellishment to the front.

They built some racks out of chicken wire to use to store their shoes inside.

And added some old door knobs above the bench to hang miscellaneous things (hats, coats, scarves).

What a great storage solution!

I'm so excited for this weekend! Something very important is happening. I am getting an iPhone! That's right. I'm finally entering the 21st century and ditching my ancient blackberry. Can.Not.Wait Hopefully it won't take me too long to figure out how to use it ;)
